October 9, 2025Plenary lecture at the 51st Myanmar Orthopaedic Association Meeting, Yangon 7th-9th of November 2019
It was an honour to be invited to deliver the Plenary Lecture at the annual scientific meeting of the Myanmar Orthopaedic Association 2019. Dr. Gowreeson delivered a lecture titled ‘Today’s Problems, Tommorow’s technology’, briefly highlighting how best orthopaedic surgical care can be delivered when leveraging on state-of-the art technology. It was equally an opportunity to exchange ideas and brainstorm how we can efficiently share technology for the betterment of patients in the region.
The 21st National Congress of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) – Combined Meeting 39th ASEAN Orthopaedic Association Annual Congress, 20-23rd of November 2019, Jakarta, Indonesia
This meeting witnessed the coming together of orthopaedic experts from across South-East Asia. Many topical areas of controversy and consensus especially with sports and trauma surgery were discussed. Dr. Gowreeson delivered a keynote lecture and moderated a few scientific sessions. It was an honour to participate and learn from the stalwarts of ASEAN Orthopaedicsurgery !
Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting, 26th of June 2021
Dr Gowreeson participated in this annual scientific meeting as an invited international speaker. The various dilemmas surrounding failed flatfoot reconstruction surgery, salvage methods and useful adjuncts were discussed and shared with an international panel of specialist foot & ankle surgeons
