The SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress is the largest truly international orthopaedic annual scientific meeting in current times. The conference 2019 this year, in Muscat, Oman, was no different , with over 2500 delegates and 350 faculty participating in this 3-day meeting. Dr. Gowreeson chaired the Foot & Ankle symposia entitiled ‘The Commonest Foot & Ankle Surgeries : This is How I do it”. The feedback was overwhelming and plans have been made to orchestrate a sports foot and ankle symposium with the European Sports Surgery and Arthroscopy Association next year, in Budapest. Dr Gowreeson also took over the helm of Scientific Programme Chair for SICOT and will be responsible for delivering the scientific programme for the next 3 years. (2020-2022). Looking forward to the challenge !
